Originally Founded in 1978 by Bill Wells and his sons, Custom Paving & Sealcoating began as a small upstart paving company in the
Baraboo area. As a small family owned operation the company faced it's share of struggles, and successes. Over the next 15 years hard work and persistence pushed the company forward. The business had grown in size and reach.

With the family growing as fast as the business they realized a split was necessary. Bill's 6 sons divided the company and continued to build each in their own direction. Custom Paving & Sealcoating was now headed up by Leonard Wells and his sons.

Custom Paving & Sealcoating has continued to grow. In 2016 we were proud to have opened our second office located in the Wausau area, which saw outstanding success. Due to overwhelming demand, and in order to better meet and serve that demand, we are branching out with new locations again. This year we are proud to be opening 2 new locations, LaCrosse and Madison! CSP is proud to be your representative, and new standard bearer, in these new locations!

CSP is headed up by third generation owner and operator Levi Wells. Levi very literally cut his teeth in the paving industry. At the age of just 14 he was already managing some of the on the job operations under the watchful eye of his father and second generation owner, Leonard Wells. By age 16 Levi showed great command of not only the knowledge and abilities to perform a top quality project, but also the leadership skills that saw some 10 year veterans on the crew willingly get behind him!

Now 10 years later Levi is firmly in command of the most successful sealcoating branch the Custom Paving & Sealcoating brand has ever seen. Year after year he receives high praise from his customers for his upfront approach with quoting a project, the quality of the job, and his willingness to stand behind his product where others fall short. The CSP company has built a successful and enduring business model that has quickly become the template for many in the industry today!
